Zyno Medical to Participate in the AAMI Foundation National Coalition for Infusion Therapy Safety
NATICK, MA, March 5, 2015 – Zyno Medical, LLC, a global medical device manufacturer, announced today that it is partnering with The AAMI Foundation’s Healthcare Technology Safety Institute (HTSI) to support The National Coalition for Infusion Therapy Safety.
The Coalition is a two-year initiative that plans to address the ongoing patient safety issues identified in 2010 at the AAMI/FDA Infusion Device Summit. The Coalition Kickoff Event will be March 12-13, 2015. The participants in this summit are made up of national organizations, healthcare technology vendors, researchers, and providers. Zyno Medical’s participation will help to support the two goals as set forth by the AAMI HTSI Foundation; The first, is to bring together pioneering hospitals, researchers, professional societies, industry, and other national leaders in infusion safety to agree upon evidence-based solutions to several key issues contributing to poor patient outcomes with infusion therapy and the second is to promote those solutions nationwide through a variety of modalities and via a range of educational materials.
“We are excited by the opportunity to participate and support the National Coalition for Infusion Therapy Safety,” said Dr. Chaoyoung Lee, the president and owner of Zyno Medical, LLC. “This is a tremendous opportunity for industry and caregivers to collaborate on solutions that will be important for patient safety now and into the future.”
